Abstract

The paper considers the influence of physical-mechanical and geometric parameters on the deformation intensity and the size of extension zone that appears during sheet billet bending process. An approach and mathematical model are suggested for calculation of the neutral surface curvature radius. To reduce the permissible bending radius it is proposed to choose coating materials with the lowest relative hardening rate and the highest relative coefficient of curved flow.
