Біблійні антропоніми у складі фразеологічних одиниць української мови

Abstract

The article is devoted to studying the biblical anthroponyms as part of phraseological units of the Ukrainian language. It has been proven that anthroponyms are the proper name that reveal the specificity of the worldview of the ethnic group and its mentality; they become elements of the national picture of the world. It has shown that they are significant parts of the means of artistic expression which enrich the transmission of linguistic and speech-expressive peculiarities. Besides stylistic colouring, they also add semantic depth to the expression. Attention is focused on examples of biblical anthroponyms, their dictionary interpretations, and the biblical

plot that caused the emergence of the BPU. It has been determined that phrasal words of biblical origin are the means of transmission of the emotionality, and expression of speech, are the means of imagery and moral characteristics of a person that linguists consider as categorical features of a phrase. It has been established that biblical anthroponyms in the composition of phraseological units of the Ukrainian language have a powerful stylistic potential in particular: most of them are used in an artistic style. Many stable collocations of words complement various industry terminologies in the scientific style. In the journalistic style, biblical anthroponyms are used in text headings. They allow a better understanding of the content of the article. It has analyzed that biblical anthroponyms in the modern Ukrainian language are generalized and symbolized: for example, Judas is a traitor, a hypocrite; Herod is a cruel torturer. It has been summarized that stable word collocations provide a connection between the text of art's work and the text of the Bible. They form the imaginary picture of Christendom; and perform emotional and expressive functions; have semantic and stylistic markings. Biblical phraseology has a special meaning in the cultural development of the linguistic community and forms a special worldview of the ethnos.
