Рефлексивна складова підготовки майбутнього вчителя іноземних мов до професійної діяльності

Abstract

The research deals with the problem of the formation future teacher's reflective skills. In the article the essence of the notion "reflection" is revealed as one of the main psychological mechanism, which includes the comparison of conditions and purposes of a certain activity. For creative self-realization in professional work it is essential for a teacher to reflect not only his personal abilities but also the combined processes of teaching and learning, and pupils’ studying achievements. The purpose of teacher' s reflection should aim at creating favorable conditions for pupils' development. The observation of students conducting lessons at school and the analysis of their questionnaires proved that future teachers fail to reflect their professional work and the reasons of their difficulties there. So, the purpose of our article was to consider the possible ways of forming students' reflective skills for making their professional work successful. As a result of the analysis of scientific literature we singled out such ways of forming students' reflective skills: to use in teaching the pedagogical situations which can facilitate students' awareness of the essence of teaching profession; to organize students' reflection of the teacher – students collaboration at a lesson; to analyze professional problematic situations. The above mentioned ways of forming students' reflective skills can be realized via the analysis of the film "Dead Poets' Society" which demonstrates different styles of teaching; reflection of video-lessons based on pre-planned questions; microteaching; the analysis of professional problematic situations which require students' knowledge of different subjects.
