Abstract

The invention relates to metal forming, namely to radial forging shaped surfaces, e.g. grooves at manufacture of products such as taps, reamers, and other parts such as shafts. An apparatus for radial forging shaped surfaces of shafts comprises a housing, punches with a working profile on working part, a pusher mounted with possibility of displacement along the axis and interaction with punches, wherein the punches are mounted on hinges with possibility of rotation relative to the latter, the housing has guides for the punches and a guide sleeve mounted along the axis of housing with a hole to place a workpiece. The pusher can be made in the form of a cylinder, the punches – in the form of a prism, and the hinges may comprise pins. By changing a kinematic scheme of the device, pusher and punch design the possibility of significant reduction (from two or more times) of power of required pressure equipment is achieved.
