Abstract

Today, the importance and role of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization in promoting gender equality is undeniable: NATO's mission is to promote a stable and lasting peace in which gender equality and the empowerment of both sexes are key elements. The purpose of this article is to determine the main principles and methods of forming the gender policy of the North Atlantic Alliance, as well as to determine the directions and forms of implementation of gender equality in NATO member states. Attention is paid to program documents that contributed to the understanding of the complex and complex nature of gender integration.
