Abstract

Lake Vaden and Lake Sventa are reservoirs from the Desniansky lakes group, located respectively in the Novgorod-Siversky and Kozeletsky districts of the Chernihiv region. Have the status of a hydrological monument of nature of national importance. Investigation of reservoirs from the category of environmental protection, testifies that even the most stringent regime of protection does not guarantee their protection against pollution and exhaustion. Reservoirs can not be completely excluded from the sphere of anthropogenic activity and protected from direct and indirect influence. It is known that contamination of reservoirs by various pollutants (heavy metals, pesticides, petroleum products, etc.) leads to a decrease in the immunity of fish and the tendency of the latter to infectious and invasive diseases.
