Майбутні перспективи розвитку підприємств галузі будівельних матеріалів перебувають на етапі докорінної переоцінки через гострий дефіцит енергетичних ресурсів. Для розв'язання проблеми зниження собівартості кінцевої будівельної продукції та зменшення витрат природної сировини, палива, енергії та інших ресурсів особлива роль відводиться розширенню використання промислових відходів. Як підтверджено дослідженнями, у цьому ресурсному джерелі існують значні резерви для піднесення виробництва та його подальшої інтенсифікації.
