Abstract

The work considers the process of developing a web resource for book search and recommendation. The subject area and existing analogues are analyzed, and the choice of the MVC architectural pattern for implementing the system is justified. The basis of the development is a three-layer client-server model, which includes a presentation layer (Frontend), a business logic layer (Backend) and a data layer (Database). A collaborative filtering algorithm has been implemented to generate personalized book recommendations based on user preferences. A database structure that corresponds to the third normal form and a convenient user interface have been developed. The created solution allows automating the processes of searching and selecting literature, ensuring effective interaction with the reading audience.
