Abstract

Aesthetic conception of the polish philosopher, as well as mathematician and artist, about the plurality of realities in art and its realization in artistic techniques from realism to impressionism and main trends of avant-garde are analyzed. L. Chwistek’s individual position was based on the ideas of pluralism, relativism and creative synthesis of achievements of both classical art and avant-garde along with naivism. In comprehending artistic creativity and in its author’s practice the artist has gone the way from ontological, logical and semantic grounds of the "laws" of the art, stendning on the rational and critical positions of "exact" sciences, to the recognition of the role of "instinct", intuition and irrational moments in the creation of an artistic image as the self-expression of psychology, as well as the expressive forms creator’s world attitude.
