Abstract

Considered characteristic of pumped storage power plants and their interrelation in system, the of the station operation modes in power systems, appropriate location of the stations, economic efficiency and impact of the stations on the environment. Shows how commissioning of the Dniester PSPP will affect the coverage of the existing demand for peak power in the IPS of Ukraine. Identifies the main technical and economic indicators of the station. Considered potentially dangerous and harmful factors, occupational safety, industrial hygiene and sustainability of the station under the action of extraordinary factors.
