Abstract

The proposed device for measuring displacements contains an optical radiation source, a transmitting fiber lightguide, a receiving fiber lightguide, a photodiode, two direct voltage sources, two field-effect transistors, a resistor, and a series oscillating circuit, which contains an inductance coil and a capacitor. The sources of the transistors are connected to each other via the photodiode. The oscillating circuit is connected to the drains of the transistors. The displacements of the controlled object cause the change of the intensity of the reflected optical radiation that is received by the photodiode, resulting in the change of the impedance in the circuit between the drains of the transistors and the change of the resonance frequency of the oscillating circuit. The proposed device is distinctive by its enhanced accuracy and extended measurement range.
