Overview of current trends in the development of ultrasonic gas flow meters. Сhallenges and prospects for replacing rotary and turbine gas meters

Abstract

У цій статті подано аналіз сучасних тенденцій розвитку промислових ультразвукових лічильників газу з акцентом на переході від традиційних ротаційних і турбінних лічильників до досконаліших ультразвукових технологій. У дослідженні окреслено еволюцію ультразвукових лічильників у трьох поколіннях, підкреслено технологічні досягнення, нормативні вимоги та порівняльні переваги ультразвукових лічильників. Обговорено перспективи інтеграції ультразвукових лічильників третього покоління для різних застосувань, а також проблеми високої вартості й необхідності реконструкції трубопроводів.

This paper presents an analysis of the current trends in the development of industrial ultrasonic gas meters, emphasizing the shift traditional rotary and turbine meters to more advanced ultrasonic technologies. The study delineates the evolution into three generations of ultrasonic meters, highlighting technological advances, regulatory s, and the comparative advantages of ultrasonic meters. The prospects of integrating third-generation ultrasonic meters for varied applications are discussed, alongside the challenges of high costs and the need for pipeline reconstruction.
