Abstract

Despite the fact that the socio-environmental problems that accompany the construction and operation of hydroelectric power stations (HPPs) have already been well understood and have long been considered as risk factors in the world, practice shows that they still do not receive enough attention. Old approaches to hydropower development at any price were manifested in our country both in the Soviet past and after independence. They found their reflection and approved in 2016.
