Abstract

The proposed parametric voltage regulator contains a ballast resistor, a loading resistor, a nonlinear element, and input and output terminals. The first input terminal and the first output terminals are connected via the ballast resistor. The first lead of the nonlinear element and the first lead of the loading resistor are connected to the first output terminal. The second lead of the nonlinear element and the second lead of the loading resistor are connected accordingly to the second input terminal and the second output terminal. The nonlinear element is based on a thyristor and a linear resistor connected in series. The proposed voltage regulator allows the stabilized voltage to be increased.
