Abstract

Results of prismatic reinforced concrete piles jacking into alluvial soils are examined. Threefold difference of pile driving force within a site was registered. Control static tests with repeated loading of some piles disconnected from the grillage were conducted after standstill of piles. It was demonstrated that repeated loading equalized pile bearing capacity and pile settlement because of additional soil compression under ends of piles and pile bearing capacity variation was registered within 20 % range. A controlled technological preloading of piles is proposed for similar geotechnical conditions.
