dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this article is to analyse the effectiveness of mobile applications, specifically Duolingo, Babbel, and Memrise, in facilitating microlearning and motivating adult learners of English. The study aims to evaluate their advantages and disadvantages, providing evidence-based recommendations for their optimal use in adult language education. The findings of the article aim to contribute to the body of knowledge on mobile-assisted language learning (MALL) and provide practical recommendations for optimizing their use in diverse learning contexts. By doing so, this research aligns with broader scientific and practical objectives to enhance lifelong learning opportunities and improve language education strategies in the digital age. The study demonstrates that while mobile applications like Duolingo, Babbel, and Memrise are valuable tools for microlearning and motivation, their limitations require careful consideration. Educators and learners should choose applications based on specific learning goals and complement them with additional resources to achieve well-rounded language proficiency. These findings contribute to the growing body of research on mobile-assisted language learning, offering actionable insights for optimizing the use of these tools. | uk_UA |
