«Pythagoreorum Opera»: специфіка і стратегія українського перекладу

Abstract

The author describes the conceptual, terminological, and stylistic principles of their translation of the corpus of works of the Pythagorean tradition into Ukrainian. The main translation strategy is based on the principle of balancing semantic fidelity to historical meanings with adaptation to modern Ukrainian academic usage. The translation was carried out considering the interdisciplinary context: medical, psychological, aesthetic, ethical, political. A defining feature is the combination of philological accuracy with hermeneutic interpretation, which allows conveying not only the content but also the philosophical logic, stylistics, and symbolism of Pythagorean cosmology, ontology, epistemology, and moral anthropology.The author describes the conceptual, terminological, and stylistic principles of their translation of the corpus of works of the Pythagorean tradition into Ukrainian. Основна пере­кладацька стратегія ґрунтується на принципі балансу між семантичною вірністю істо­ричним значенням і адаптацією до сучасного українського академічного слововжитку. Переклад здійснено з урахуванням міждисциплінарного контексту: медичного, психоло­гіч­ного, естетичного, етичного, політичного. Визначальною особливістю є поєд­нання філологічної точності з герменевтичною інтерпретацією, що дозволяє передати не лише зміст, а й філософську логіку, стилістику та символіку піфагорійської космології, онтології, гносеології та моральної антропології.
