Abstract

A method for maintaining operative condition of a car by adjusting standards of maintenance and repair depending on the categories of car operative conditions, in which cars of the same type are classified into groups depending on operating time since beginning of operation. For each group of cars approximation of dependence of the flow of failures of cars on the operating time since the beginning of operation and duration of their operation is carried out. Then adjustment factor of standards of maintenance and repair for each car is determined. The systems, units and assemblies of car are determined which require measures for improvement of efficiency thereof. A decision is taken to adjust the standards of maintenance and repair, depending on the category of operative conditions.
