Abstract

Modern technologies have significantly influenced the methodology of teaching English, in particular through the introduction of adaptive learning platforms. These platforms use artificial intelligence algorithms to analyze student progress and personalize educational content according to their needs. The article examines the basic principles of adaptive platforms and their role in increasing the efficiency of learning foreign language material. Studies confirm that the use of adaptive platforms helps to increase student motivation, as they receive individually ed tasks and instant feedback. An important aspect is the ability to adapt educational materials according to the level of language proficiency, learning style and speed of knowledge acquisition. This helps to reduce cognitive load and increase the overall efficiency of the educational process. The article also discusses the challenges associated with the implementation of adaptive platforms in the education system. Among them are the need for high-quality software, training teachers to work with such platforms, and ensuring the security of students` personal data. In addition, the problem of the digital divide, which can become an obstacle to the effective implementation of these technologies, is considered. The practical significance of adaptive platforms lies in creating a flexible and inclusive educational environment that promotes the development of students` autonomy in the process of learning English. They can be used in both formal and non-formal education, as well as in blended learning models. This allows teachers to more effectively organize the learning process and optimize the use of educational resources. Thus, adaptive learning platforms are a promising tool in teaching English, which contributes to the personalization of learning and increasing its effectiveness. Further research in this area should be aimed at developing integration strategies for combining traditional and digital teaching methods.
