Abstract

The relationship between the hereditary theory of damage summation and the problem oftautochrone is ascertained. This has not only made it possible to reveal new properties of the defining relation of this theory, based on the power expression of the integral kernel, but also indicates a deeper connection with various branches of mathematics, in particular the theory of integral equations.
