The analysis of the state of the existing system of technical maintenance and repair of special automobile chassis, determination of the nomenclature and quantity of spare parts, as well as the results of scientific research in this subject area allows us to conclude that a number of issues related to increasing the efficiency of the use of special automobile chassis have not been resolved. The most significant shortcomings of this system include: imperfect substantiation of the existing methodology for determining the nomenclature and quantity of spare parts; statistical information on the reliability of components and mechanisms of special automobile chassis is not taken into account; the nomenclature of spare parts is determined without sufficient scientific substantiation of the intensity of malfunctions that occur. All this leads to a decrease in the availability coefficient of special automobile chassis, the value of which in some cases does not meet the specified requirements.
