The article examines the role of profitability as the main indicator of sustainability and development of the enterprise. The influence of profitability on the financial condition of the enterprise and its investment attractiveness is revealed. The importance of profitability monitoring and analysis is emphasized for making management decisions aimed at increasing the efficiency of the enterprise.
