Their high accuracy, speed, and user-friendliness are emphasized, as well as their relevance in the areas of security, finance, and personal devices. Special attention is paid to the challenges of implementing biometrics: technical limitations, demographic bias, data leakage risks, and ethical aspects. The prospects for integrating biometrics with blockchain technologies to enhance personal data protection are considered.
