Abstract

У цій статті досліджується вплив цифрової комунікації на еволюцію англійської мови. Розглянуто нові форми мовної виразності, зокрема меми, емодзі та інтернет-сленг, які виникли у результаті використання соціальних мереж, месенджерів та онлайн-культур. Проаналізовано, як ці елементи змінюють лексику, граматику та стилістику англійської, формуючи нові мовні норми та ідентичності в цифровому середовищі.

This article explores the impact of digital communication on the evolution of the English language. It examines new forms of linguistic expression, including memes, emojis, and internet slang, that have emerged through social media, messaging apps, and online culture. The paper analyzes how these elements are reshaping English vocabulary, grammar, and stylistics, while contributing to the creation of new norms and identities in digital contexts. Despite concerns over language deterioration, the study argues that these changes reflect natural linguistic evolution and adaptation to contemporary modes of communication.
