The text highlights the relevance of developing artistic competencies for students as an important element in the formation of a creative, socially active and professionally adaptive personality. The role of art in the development of critical thinking, interdisciplinary vision, emotional intelligence and the ability to express oneself is revealed in detail. Special attention is paid to the importance of art competitions as a tool for the practical implementation of creative skills.
