Системний аналіз функції майнінгового кластера біля АЕС в ОЕС України з урахуванням досвіду США

Abstract

Виконано системний аналіз функції керованого майнінгового кластера, колокованого з атомною генерацією за схемою behind-the-meter, у задачі балансування електроенергетичної системи. Методом структурного зіставлення двох ринкових середовищ — зони оператора PJM (США) та об’єднаної енергосистеми (ОЕС)

A systems analysis of the function of a managed cryptocurrency-mining cluster co-located with nuclear generation (behind-the-meter) within the power-system balancing problem is performed. By structurally comparing two supersystems — the PJM operator zone (USA) and the Integrated Power System (IPS) of Ukraine — it is shown that, under an identical engineering architecture of the subsystem, its system function is opposite: in the USA the cluster acts as a con sumer of surplus baseload generation, whereas in Ukraine it serves as a Frequency Containment Reserve (FCR) resource. The structural factors of the environment that determine this function are identified, and the FCR function is justified specifically for the IPS of Ukraine.
