Відкриття кварків: від гіпотези гелл-манна до квантової хромодинаміки

Abstract

У роботі розглянуто хронологію відкриття кварків — фундаментальних складових адронної матерії.

This paper examines the chronology of quark discovery as the fundamental constituents of hadronic matter. The theoretical foundation of the quark model, independently proposed by M. Gell-Mann and G. Zweig in 1964, and the experimental confirmation through deep inelastic electron scattering at SLAC in 1968 are analyzed. Key formulae of the quark model are presented, together with the phenomena of confinement and the fundamentals of quantum chromodynamics (QCD). The discovery of all six quark flavors and their role in the Standard Model of particle physics are discussed.
