Contemporary challenges in the architecture profession: between technology and ethics

Abstract

This article examines the transformation of the architectural profession in the context of the global challenges of the 21st century. It analyzes the impact of digitalization, artificial intelligence, and the principles of sustainable development on architectural practice. Particular attention is paid to the ethical responsibility of professionals in the context of the environmental crisis, social inclusivity, and strategies for the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine’s urban environment.

У статті досліджено трансформацію професії архітектора в умовах глобальних викликів XXI століття. Проаналізовано вплив цифровізації, штучного інтелекту та принципів сталого розвитку на архітектурну практику. Особливу увагу приділено етичній відповідальності фахівців у контексті екологічної кризи, соціальної інклюзивності та стратегій повоєнного відновлення міського середовища України.
