Адаптація освітнього середовища ЗВО до інтеграції автентичних ресурсів у підготовку майбутніх інженерів-будівельників

Abstract

The article addresses the problem of adapting the educational environment of a higher education institution to the integration of authentic English-language resources into the professional training of future civil engineers. The relevance of the study is determined by the transformational processes in higher technical education in Ukraine, the needs of post-war reconstruction, the digitalization of the construction industry, and active integration into the international professional space, which increases the requirements for the level of foreign language professional competence of specialists. The necessity of transitioning traditional language instruction to a professionally oriented training model based on the systematic use of authentic materials – international standards (ISO, EN, ASTM), technical documentation, BIM models, equipment manuals, professional reports, and video resources – is substantiated. The purpose of the article is to provide a theoretical justification and practical analysis of strategies for adapting the educational environment of higher education institutions to the integration of authentic resources into the system of foreign language training of future civil engineers. The paper analyzes contemporary scientific approaches to the development of professional foreign language competence among students of technical specialties and outlines the potential of ESP, CLIL, and digital educational technologies in modernizing the content of instruction. The methodological foundation for integrating authentic materials is defined, encompassing competency-based, communicative, activity-based, and contextual approaches that ensure the development of students\" ability to work with real professional texts and communicative situations. The article proposes a set of strategies for adapting the educational environment, including the creation of structured digital libraries of authentic materials; the development of linguistic and professional modules integrated with specialized disciplines; and the updating of curricula through the implementation of ESP courses and interdisciplinary cooperation between language and subject teachers. It is proven that the systematic transformation of the educational environment enhances students\" motivation, fosters critical thinking, develops professional terminological competence, and ensures readiness for professional activity in the international construction sector. Consequently, such adaptation is a necessary condition for training a competitive civil engineer capable of effective professional communication in English within the global labor market.

У статті розглянуто проблему адаптації освітнього середовища закладу вищої освіти до інтеграції автентичних англомовних ресурсів у процес професійної підготовки майбутніх інженерів-будівельників. Актуальність дослідження зумовлена трансформаційними процесами у вищій технічній освіті України, потребами повоєнної відбудови, цифровізацією будівельної галузі та активною інтеграцією у міжнародний професійний простір, що підвищує вимоги до рівня іншомовної професійної компетентності фахівців. Обґрунтовано необхідність переходу від традиційного мовного навчання до професійно орієнтованої моделі підготовки, заснованої на системному використанні автентичних матеріалів: міжнародних стандартів (ISO, EN, ASTM), технічної документації, BIM-моделей, інструкцій до обладнання, професійних звітів і відеоресурсів. Метою статті визначено теоретичне обґрунтування та практичний аналіз стратегій адаптації освітнього середовища ЗВО до інтеграції автентичних ресурсів у систему іншомовної підготовки майбутніх інженерів-будівельників. У роботі проаналізовано сучасні наукові підходи до розвитку професійної іншомовної компетентності студентів технічних спеціальностей, окреслено потенціал ESP, CLIL та цифрових освітніх технологій у модернізації змісту навчання. Визначено методологічну основу інтеграції автентичних матеріалів, що охоплює компетентнісний, комунікативний, діяльнісний і контекстний підходи, які забезпечують формування здатності студентів до роботи з реальними професійними текстами та комунікативними ситуаціями. У статті запропоновано комплекс стратегій адаптації освітнього середовища: створення структурованих цифрових бібліотек автентичних матеріалів; розроблення лінгвістично-професійних модулів, інтегрованих із фаховими дисциплінами; оновлення навчальних планів шляхом упровадження курсів ESP і міждисциплінарної співпраці викладачів. Доведено, що системна трансформація освітнього простору забезпечує підвищення мотивації студентів, розвиток критичного мислення, формування професійної термінологічної компетентності та готовності до діяльності в міжнародному будівельному середовищі, а відтак є необхідною умовою формування конкурентоспроможного інженера-будівельника, здатного ефективно здійснювати професійну комунікацію англійською мовою в умовах глобалізованого ринку праці.
