The implementation of a Virtual Information Environment (VIE) in education leverages digital platforms and tools to enhance teaching and learning experiences, transcending physical location barriers. Key components include Learning Management Systems (LMS) like Moodle and Blackboard, digital content resources, collaboration tools such as Zoom and Google Docs, adaptive learning technologies, and online assessment tools. VIE offers benefits like increased accessibility, flexibility, enhanced resource availability, and improved collaboration. However, challenges like technology gaps, student engagement, training needs, and data privacy must be addressed. A case study of the JetIQ system at Vinnytsia National Technical University exemplifies successful VIE integration, demonstrating its potential to streamline educational processes and enhance outcomes. The system includes features for educational process management, personalized dashboards for instructors and students, and integrated testing and self-study tools. The shift to VIE represents a transformative change in education, promoting inclusivity, personalization, resource efficiency, and continuous improvement. This digital transformation not only adopts new technologies but rethinks educational delivery to meet diverse student needs in a rapidly evolving world.
