Соціально-економічні чинники формування мотивації майбутніх інженерів-будівельників до вивчення англійської мови

Abstract

The article is dedicated to analyzing the socio-economic factors that determine the motivation of future civil engineers to learn English. In the modern context of globalization and technological progress, foreign language proficiency, particularly in English, is a crucial aspect of professional activity for engineers, especially in the construction industry. Learning English has become essential for effective communication with international partners, the use of modern technologies, and participation in engineering projects on a global scale. Socio-economic factors such as high competition in the labor market, the need for international standards, and the integration of Ukraine`s construction sector into the global economy significantly influence students` motivation. The author emphasizes that for students of technical specialties, proficiency in English not only opens opportunities for professional growth but is also crucial for realizing ambitions in international projects and achieving high standards in construction. The article substantiates the necessity of adapting educational programs to the real needs and demands of the labor market. In particular, it examines the role of English in Ukraine`s integration into the European educational space, the impact of innovative technologies and international standards on the construction industry, and the importance of English proficiency for young specialists aiming to work in a rapidly changing economic environment. The research findings highlight the significance of socio-economic prerequisites for shaping the right motivation for learning foreign languages, enabling students not only to enhance their competitiveness but also to actively engage in global engineering initiatives and technological innovations in construction.

Стаття присвячена аналізу соціально-економічних чинників, які визначають мотивацію майбутніх інженерів-будівельників до вивчення англійської мови. Автор підкреслює, що для студентів технічних спеціальностей володіння англійською мовою не лише відкриває можливості для професійного зростання, але й є важливим для реалізації амбіцій у міжнародних проектах і досягнення високих стандартів у будівництві. У статті обґрунтовано необхідність адаптації освітніх програм до реальних потреб ринку праці та його вимог. Зокрема, вивчено роль англійської мови в процесі інтеграції України до Європейського освітнього простору, вплив інноваційних технологій та міжнародних стандартів на будівельну галузь, а також значення володіння англійською для молодих спеціалістів, які прагнуть працювати в умовах швидко змінюваного економічного середовища. Результати дослідження свідчать про важливість соціально-економічних передумов для формування правильної мотивації до вивчення іноземних мов, що дозволяє студентам не лише підвищити свою конкурентоспроможність, але й активно долучатися до глобальних інженерних ініціатив та технологічних інновацій у будівництві.
