Abstract
Modern scientific directions in the field of graphic image coding are considered, including neural codecs, semantic-oriented methods, implicit representations and multimodal compression. Special attention is paid to the combination of coding with computer vision, optimization for machine perception and use in 3D graphics, AR/VR and energy-efficient devices.
