Main trends in programming language development

Abstract

The main trends in the development of programming languages in the context of the digital transformation of society are considered. The impact of hardware changes, network technologies, security requirements, parallel computing and multi-paradigmality on the evolution of languages is analyzed. The role of cross-platform, specialization and automation of development processes is outlined. The directions of improvement of programming languages are summarized and the prospects for their further development are determined.
